Refund & Returns Policy

At Athena Tactical Defense, we take pride in the quality of our products and aim to be fair, transparent, and compliant with South African consumer law.

 

Returns (Change of Mind)

In line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), returns for change of mind are accepted only if all the following conditions are met:

• The return request is submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery

• The item is unused, unopened, and in its original condition

• All original packaging, seals, labels, and tags are intact

• The item has not been tested, fitted, handled excessively, or tampered with in any way
   

⚠️ Opened or used items will not qualify for a return or refund.
 

Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the customer’s responsibility.

Items returned damaged, incomplete, or altered will be rejected.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund, unless defective:

• Clearance or sale items

• Promotional or discounted items

• Special-order or customised products

• Hygiene-sensitive or safety-critical items

• Items showing signs of use, or tampering

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of delivery, including clear photographic evidence.
 

Once assessed, we will:

• Repair, replace, or refund the item, at our discretion, as permitted under the CPA

• Cover reasonable return shipping costs only where the defect is confirmed and approved by us.

Refund Processing

• All returned items are subject to inspection before any refund is approved.

• Approved refunds are processed within 4–10 business days after inspection

• Refunds are issued via the original payment method only

• Shipping fees are non-refundable.
   

If a discount or promotion was applied, the refund will reflect the actual amount paid, not the full retail value.

Responsibility During Return Shipping

Returned items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by us.
We strongly recommend using a trackable courier service. Lost or damaged returns will not be refunded.
